Batterkombinasjonsenheten Cyrix er en heavy dyte relé kontrollert av en mikroprosessor som automatisk kobler batteriene parallelt når en av dem har oppnådd en forhåndsinnstilt spenning (noe som beviser at batteriet lades), og frakobler dem når spenningen synker under flytenivå (noe som beviser at en eller flere batterier utlades). Cyrix batteriekombinasjonsenhet er en særdeles god erstatning for diode isolatorer. Hovedfunksjonen er at det praktisk talt ikke forekommer spenningstap slik at utgangsspenningen av dynamoer eller batteriladere trenger ikke å økes.
